2017 has started with encouraging activity across the residential markets throughout the area with Shoreham visibly changing with various developments. The Parcelforce site with eventual completion pencilled in for circa Spring 2018 with 132 flats formed in a six storey development. Ropetackle 2 with site clearance currently underway with plans for 120 high quality homes, a focal point riverside café, food convenience store developed by the Hyde Group. Approximately 550 homes are proposed by Southern Housing Group on the former Minelco site, renamed Free Wharf, planning is expected to be submitted at some point in 2017 with riverside walks, landscaping and new public spaces, retail café, restaurant and 1200 sq metres of hub/start up space.
